After many views of the annual Kansai All Star event at Meihan, it was time to fuel up and head west to the Nara prefecture for a fun filled day!
I arrived back at the track I had visited a few days earlier on a recce where a Option 'Gakudori' event had taken place and proceeded down into the car park where I saw Tanaka-san unloading his D-Max Silvia.
The event in question is held yearly and consists of a number of drivers being split into various groups of drivers being allowed an alloted amount of time on track to perform 'impression' runs for the judges of which included Utsumi and Kawabata both of course pro drivers themselves.
The scores would dertermine more defined groups of which the drivers would be split into and then highest scoring runners from each would make the grade to go into a 3-way bracket which would be fought down to a 3-driver final to fight for the first place prize.
